If you have a child on the spectrum these words might elicit strong emotions within you ~ No words can completely grasp the sinking sensation within your being when you cannot locate your non-verbal child!

Yeah I am more and more convinced that I really need that for my oldest son... 5 times in one afternoon in crowds he disappeared on me and my friend and his brother and scared us. :(

I am so glad the devise will work out so well for Sahara. Congratulations!
I have a son who would never wear anything like this. I've given him five or six watches, and he sheds them more or less immediately. He was quite the wanderer. And he didn't have that attachment to any particular article of clothing that would have allowed us to attach a sensor that we could count on him to carry with him.
He would often shed his shoes, for example, preferring to be barefoot. Sometimes, he'd go buck naked. My son was sort of a natural nudist when he was small.
Short of implanting something under their skin, what can be done for kids like him?
