I saw this dating site link posted over on a friend's facebook page:  A Dating Site for Autistics.

I know of a few relationship success stories which began via dating sites, but I have not heard of this particular one which speacializes in pairing autistics.

I actually wrote a post a little while ago in my blog about ASD dating sites (which includes the one mentioned above):

http://nakedbrainink.com/2139/overview-asd-dating-sites/

Personally, I am a little wary of dating sites which are exclusive... simply because I believe one is to keep their options open in where and how they seek love.  Having said that, these sites appear to be in good standing and they make an effort to protect individuals who sign up.  I know some people who have had success stories in finding love via online dating sites.

As long as one practices safety and keeps an open mind -- if he or she wants to try out an ASD dating site, then go for it!

You have to pay to view profiles?? Most dating sites I go to don't charge you just to browse profiles. Signed up but I don't think I'll be using it.

^^ I think the post above is SPAM.

(just checked the profile... he/she has made 2 posts and each post is exactly the same, along with the links to Chinese party dresses... )

Temple Grandin thinks in pictures.  I think in music videos.  :)

yes an also you can tell the spam post makes no sense written by a no English speaker, As for the topic of this theme I tried an autism dating site once, i only got  2 messages and both were quite odd. one was form a man who send he was not an aspie but said her was understanding.

that just odd going on a dating site for a certain group of people but yet you are not on e of them.
the other one i got was form an aspie guy who spent the whole message talking about his sex drive. EW

That is not true at all. The site is free and always has been. It does tend to annoy me when people post comments like this, because they dont take the trouble to read the prominent messages on the registration pages. There is a delay in account activation because my partner & I are constantly verifying identities in order to try and keep the online predators away. We have caught a few, and don't seem to have missed any. There are, however, too many men and not enough women, so c'mon girls, its at www.autisticdating.net, and its definitely free.

I'm not one for dating sites myself. If I don't know someone personally, I'd prefer to start by just being friends.

I am also concerned about having guys try to hit on me by sending me creepy messages about how horny they are or something. Even though someone from this site who does that is probably just a guy who doesn't know how to flirt with women, it would still bug me, and I wouldn't know how to politely tell him that his approach was way off. I might be more drawn to this site if I was a gay/bisexual guy instead.

I was just taught to be careful online as an autistic female so I wouldn't be taken advantage of. I never had a MySpace back in its heyday for that reason, in addition to not wanting to give in to the fad.

I probably will browse profiles and might even contact the guys that sound interesting if they have accounts elsewhere, though.
