Favorite Music Artists?
So I was just wondering what kind of music you guys listen to. I'll go first:
Genres: Classic rock, pop, indie, New Age, electronica, trip hop, some classical, some country, jazz, glam rock, world, old-school hip hop, downtempo...basically I'll listen to any genre but that happy hardcore techno crap.
Male Artists: Adam Lambert (one of the BEST current male singers ever, if not the best), Jeff Buckley, Rufus Wainwright, Sting, Justin Timberlake, David Bowie, IAMX, Ne-Yo, Jimi Hendrix, David Cook, Josh Groban, Sam Sparro, Kanye West, etc.
Female Artists: Lady GaGa, Kate Bush, Bjork, Mariah Carey, Santogold, Little Boots, Rihanna, Sarah McLachlan, Alanis Morissette, Madonna, Edith Piaf, Regina Spektor, Nina Simone, Janis Joplin, Ani DiFranco, Kelly Clarkson, Ladyhawke, Tori Amos, Adele, Christina Aguilera, Enya, Loreena McKennit, etc.
Groups/Bands: Daughtry, Muse, Queen (greatest classic rock band EVER), Led Zeppelin (Plant is the original rock god IMO), Goldfrapp, Pink Floyd, Kings of Leon, The Beatles (timeless band), Radiohead, Placebo, U2, Thievery Corporation (great band to chill out to), Coldplay, The Police, Simian Mobile Disco, Kraftwerk, Green Day, Portishead, Tokio Hotel, Paramore, A.F.I., Evanescence, Ladytron, The White Stripes, The Gossip, etc.

I like all sorts of music, including World Music and Classical and even Opera.
Shelley, I agree about Jeff Buckley, in that he did an incredible cover of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah. He sang it even better than Cohen did, which is saying a lot. It sent shivers down my spine. It's such a shame that Buckley died so young, because great things would have come out of him, I'm sure!
