which do you prefer to read. Many articles seem to say that Aspies prefer non fiction however if this is true I am the complete opposite I can only handle Nf if it is told in a narrative style like a biography   or memoir. very academic writing tends  to go over my head. In fiction I tend to still read kids and Young adult books because I think  the characters intentions are sometimes more clear.

As a kid I would read absolutely anything you gave me, and so my mother always gave me non-fiction books because she was under the impression that I preferred them. Recently I've needed to explicitly tell her what sort of books I want for my birthday or whatnot, or I'll end up with the latest edition of '1001 Fun Facts You May Not Already Know'.

I've never had a strong fiction/non-fiction preference, but I definitely prefer books to films. There's so many classic movies I haven't seen because I don't have the attention span.

I liked both fiction and non-fiction equally. As an adult (although, a young one) I strongly prefer non-fiction. If I ever do read fiction, it is almost always a children's book. So of the best books have been written for children.

I also like both, however I loved fairy tales when I was a kid. My favorite ever is Thumbelina. :)
