Future Horizons Grandin/Attwood Conference-anyone going?
Anyone going to attend the Future Horizons Conference in Dixon, IL on July 23,2010? This is actually a 2-day conference, but I will only be attending Friday because that is the day both Temple Grandin AND Tony Attwood are both presenting! Myself and the other co-facilitator of our bi-monthly (every other month, not twice a month) women's group will be attending that day, driving in the night before.
FH has several conferences around the US. I will be at this one, and I'd like to know if anyone else from this forum will be there also?

Sounds like an incredible conference. I wonder if they will be recording Dr Grandin and Dr Attwood's talks as I would love to hear what they have to say.
It looks like i will be attending the Autism NZ conference here in September, funding has been approved. I'm quite excited about it, tho some say Autism NZ conferences have not been that welcoming to people on the spectrum in the past, being more orientated to parents and professionals. But they do seem to be trying harder this year, with a retreat room, gluten-free foods, workshops given by actual aspies, etc etc. I hope to meet some of my Kiwi aspie friends i've only met online, or over the phone.

I would be really interested in attending a conference on autism. But it is very hard for me to get out of the city for any period of time--the life of a much-loved caregiver! When I worked in preschool, we had one big Autism Indiana conference. Does anyone know if they do an Autism conference in my area?
