Hi, one more new member...
Hi! I'm a 43 years-old "half-diagnosed" Aspie woman. I started the process last year but stopped before obtaining the final diagnosis. I'm planning to move countries in 1 or 2 years time, so I backed off because we don't live in an ideal world and an official diagnosis on my medical file may, or may not, jeopardize my future plans.
My life has not being easy, but an official diagnosis now as an adult cannot improve it. I do get anxious and have meltdowns more often than I would like, but I have a very supportive partner.
I kept the news about my AS quiet, I don't have many friends and I haven't told my family, as I can't relate or expect support from them (we live in different countries too). I left my hometown when I was 21 years-old, so I'm used to be alone by now.
PS: I'm queer, I thought I better mention it as the default is normally straight. My partner is NT but has attention deficit disorder, which has caused her a lot of trouble in the past. BTW I love to play games on the PS3 too, Mass Effect, Dragon Age and Amalur are my favourites.
