I'm asking more for my partner than for me: Does anyone know of a good therapist for adults on the spectrum in LA?  We'd really like to find one.

I heard from a friend on twitter and she suggested that you contact:  Karen Savlov in Los Angeles.

Hi Alliesperson, sorry I can't help out as I'm in Orange County. Just wanted to say hi to a fellow Californian and wish you well.

Thanks Califmom.  BTW, do you have any interest in ASAN--LA area?  I'm one of the co-coordinators.

Califmom, I'm refering to the Autistic Self-Advocacy Network.  (www.autisticadvocacy.org)  We've only just started up our chapters, and our events so far have been in West LA, which I realize might be too far for you.  (I hate LA traffic.)  Basically we're interested in varioius kinds of advocacy issues, on both a local and national levels.

For our first event, we had a panel discussion about neurodiversity which went really well.  A lot of psychological research people were there, so it was really great to have a chance to give them our perspective.  The director of the LA chapter of Autism Speaks was also there, oddly enough.  We will probably be protesting Autism Speaks in Pasadena in April, if you're interested in that.

I'm about 50 minutes away when it's not rush hour. I'd love to hear about when you have activities. Kind of hard to maneuver with two young kids, but I'll try.
