The ASAN UCLA/LA Area Advocacy and Support Group

MEETING: SUNDAY, MARCH 7 at 3:00 PM

Panera Bread in Santa Monica

501 Wilshire Boulevard

We are the LA chapter of an international organization interested in bringing adults on the autistic spectrum together, along with allies in the parent and professional communities, to share ideas and give ideas and support for self-advocacy and autism advocacy in general.

We invite autistic people (officially or self-diagnosed) and any support people which will enable them to attend, as well as family members, friends, and professionals who are allies to the neurodiversity movement.  Attendees younger than 18 should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

ASAN-LA is working to promote civil rights, services, supports, education, public

understanding and acceptance for all autistic people, in accordance to the principals of neurodiversity.

PARKING: We recommend parking at Public Parking Structure #9, which is very close to Panera and offers free parking for the first two hours.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: For service to Santa Monica, the Big Blue Bus is a good option.

Cool. I wish I could attend, but we'll be out all day ... bummer! Maybe next time!
