I myself have AS but I also have two sons, one dx'd with autism, the other in process towards an AS dx. My oldest with autism is now 9 years of age and is asking about autism and wanting to learn if there are some kids sites, etc. about it and I am not sure realy how to explain things to him as I want to personalize it as much as I can to his experiences but also help him understand even on the spectrum we all are different yet the same. Anyone got any  good advice, resources, links that might help me out.

Hi Mish,

I'm looking to see if I can get any good recommendations for you.  In the meantime,  here is something fun for your kiddos -> I've heard good things about Zac Browser.  I'll do some more checking for the other links you were asking about and get back with you.

Zac Browser is a totally free software package. It is the first Internet browser developed specifically for children living with variants of autism spectrum disorders (ASD), Asperger syndrome, Rett syndrome, childhood disintegrative disorder, PDD not otherwise specified and PDD-NOS, also called atypical autism.

I can personally recommend the book Freaks, Geeks, and Asperger's Syndrome.  It is written by a 13 year old boy with AS, and I read it to my son several years ago.

Also, my friend Adonya Wong has a son with autism, and she wrote: "In My Mind--The World Through the Eyes of Autism."

I stumbled upon some comments about these next two books from parents who thought they were good.
