Yesterday I published an article on segregation in our PA Schools. Today, I received notice that the Coalition of Inclusion Advocates is conducting a survey.

My story here:

I am not surprised, and this has deep roots.  20 yrs ago, my parents lived in a Pittsburgh suburb, and when I visited, mom (who has never acknowledged the strong stream of ASD in the family and who many are sure is an Aspie with the difficult behaviors that give our kind a bad name) boasted about the wonderful school for crippled kids their district had.  Nuff said.

Please pardon my ignorance, but what are PA schools? I'm an Aussie. Is this an American term?

Oh ok. Now I understand. We do almost the same thing. Vic government schools; NSW indepedent schools etc. 'Vic' stands for Victoria, the state in which I live; NSW - New South Wales etc. But we tend to state what kind of school - government run or 'private' which are really independent as there are no true privately owned schools here in Aust.
