Anyone else seen the BBC's miniseries Sherlock?  It's a modern adaptation of Sherlock Holmes, and is quite brilliant.

What's interesting is how the characters are interpreted in this, and how they've adjusted them to suit NOW.  Like, Watson is a veteran of the war in Afganistan, with a psychocymatic limp.  Instead of keeping a journal, he keeps an online blog.

Also, Sherlock has been interpreted to be a high functioning sociopath, which I think is a more accurate diagnosis for him than the theory of him being autistic (it all being rather moot anyways, since we can't get inside his thought process and figure out the precise reasons behind some of his behaviours.  The autism theory, I find, is mainly based on his acute sense of observation and fast-logical thinking.  However, this is hardly specific to autistics and can occur in lots of other peoples as well.  Such as socio- and psycho-paths.  And simply very highly-intelligent people. Anyways).

Also, the writing for the show is wonderfully witty and suspenseful, and the actors are awesome.

So, Anyone else?
