Women, please weigh in on your thoughts on this!!!

SSRI's for managing women's ASDs and then contributing to Autism rates in babies?? http://yhoo.it/koaTZ3

HELLO? For women on the spectrum themselves, who are often not diagnosed until AFTER they've delivered children, what would this mean for child-bearing women managing ASD's with SSRI's, and then contributing to the perpetuation of ASD's in their children???  This is going to be a firestorm if a woman's medication is implicated in the causation of autism in our own children. Is there no escape??

Excerpt from report:
"They found mothers of the children with autism were twice as likely to have taken an antidepressant in the year before delivery than children in the control group. And the effect was strongest -- three times higher -- when the drugs were taken in the first trimester of pregnancy. "Our results suggest a possible, albeit small, risk to the unborn child associated with in utero exposure to SSRIs," Croen said in a statement.
