The United States of Autism Movie

On June 16, 2010 the Autism Women's Network began its online radio coverage of one of the most novel ideas in US film industry's history. AWN Radio welcomed Richard Everts, Executive Producer and Director of The United States of Autism Movie.
Rich and the talented movie crew began an unprecedented journey across America on June 23. This truly unique movie event will be taking place across the golden highways of the United States of America. Unlike any other autism film, The United States of Autism is dedicated to capturing the most diverse, unparalleled, and unprecedented personal experiences of autism ever recorded within one movie. Rich and the crew posted photos and updates on their daily blog.
For 40 days, the film crew traveled from coast to coast, totaling 10,000 miles, interviewing 21 families, 2 members of congress, and 2 members of the autism community who had movies made about their lives; as well as psychologists, physicians and leaders throughout our nation.
On day 11 the crew was in Lincoln, Nebraska to film AWN's Executive Director, Sharon daVanport's family as well as the Williamsburg Behavioral Psychology, LLC Adults with Asperger's Group.
AWN Radio will bring you updates from Rich and the crew as they continue on with this historical autism filming adventure.
